Opinion: I love this movie for two reasons. First is Matt Damon's performance. Second is the bizarre story. My thoughts echo my sister's opinion on Matt Damon's performance in this film: We think he was SNUBBED IN THE OSCARS!! Wow. Talk about transforming to a character- he was actually acting. He plays an awkwardly hard-to-read man (Marc Whitacre) in the 90's who is a bio-chemist and businessman for a large company. While cooperating as a mole for the government he embezzles about ten million dollars from under everyone's noses! The guy is fascinating- especially since he's real. He is living in California now with his wife of 30 some-odd years, Ginger. It's such a fascinating story- and since it's real (much of the movie is taken verbatim from FBI tapes), it's worth knowing about.
Loved it. Agreed.
