The Cove

Rating: ***** (that's FIVE)

Content: PG-13: Disturbing acts to dolphins :( and mild language. I do not think you need to get this edited.

Opinion: This is a MUST-SEE film. I honestly rank it as one of my all-time favorite documentaries. It's about dolphin slaughter in Taiji Japan. If I'm being honest- I'm not much of an animal person. Pretty much every species scare me and always have. However, I do appreciate and respect animals in their own domain. This movie made me change. If a movie can do that- I think everyone should see it. It seriously contemplate becoming a dolphin activist. It also reversed my apathy regarding animal captivity. It is WRONG (yes, I'm talking to you: Sea World). I have immense respect for Ric O'Barry and the OPS. He helped start the "Flipper-phenomenon" but has spent the rest of his life trying to right that wrong. This film deserved the many awards it has received, including the Oscar for Best Documentary. Go watch this movie.
